Strategic Plan
Question: How did outside events shape the Zeitgeist of the time in previous years and how can this be used to predict the relationship it could have in the future.
Plan of Action to Answer Question at Hand:
1. The research process was divided and assigned to team members. Each member will research major aspects of society that affect trends during 1980. We will look into culture and events of the time and how these influenced the fashion scene as well as, art, architecture, celebrities, food, media, sports, fiber trends, and much more including what didn’t sell and why it didn’t work. We will be paying particular attention to macro environments and keeping our research broad as to not miss any hidden currents.
Year: 1980
- Jessica D. - Consumer
- Melanie – Product
- Jessica K. – Context
- Leanne – Technology and Textile Developments
- Kelly – Popular Culture/ Consumer / Context / Product
2. Each group member will take photos and collect inspirational images to be kept in a journal that will help to inspire future developments in the project. Also we will keep up to date on news events and breaking news in the industry by checking WGSN and NRF Smartbrief at least twice a week.
3. Progress report – team members will upload to the blog a portion of her research twice each Week to share with the team what she has been working on. Meetings will be held weekly on Sundays to keep the team on track and to report back findings.
